Johnson & Johnson announced the launch of two breakthrough products designed to meet the evolving needs of astigmatic patients in Europe and the Middle East:

• ACUVUE® OASYS MAX 1-Day for Astigmatism – the first lens optimised by cylinder power to improve toric design.

• ACUVUE® OASYS MAX 1-Day MULTIFOCAL for Astigmatism – the first and only daily disposable multifocal toric contact lens for astigmatic presbyopes.

Both innovations are tailored to deliver exceptional comfort, clarity and stability, empowering patients with astigmatism and presbyopia to enjoy crisp, clear vision at all distances and lighting conditions. Availability begins in select countries this September, with additional rollouts planned in 2026.

Addressing an Unmet Need in Vision Care

Astigmatism affects nearly half of patients in at least one eye, while presbyopia is expected to impact over 2.1 billion people globally by 2030. Despite available solutions, many patients still struggle – with one in four discontinuing contact lens wear in the first year due to poor vision or discomfort. Options are especially limited for those with both astigmatism and presbyopia.
